Fountains Hotel Description

The newly refurbished Fountains Hotel, in the centre of Cape Town, overlooks the famous fountains on its main thoroughfares: Heerengracht Street and Adderley Street. The entrance to the hotel is on the walkway on St Georges Mall with its many trendy shops, quaint stalls, coffee shops and department stores. The entire ground floor of the hotel is airy and light, with sliding glass doors opening up to views of Table Mountain and the Fountains. All 160 en suite guestrooms are tastefully decorated with crisp white linen offset by bold and vibrant colours. They feature individual climate control, wireless Internet access, a mini bar, DSTV and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room also has a hairdryer and a safety deposit box. The hotel’s bright and modern restaurant seats 120 people. A buffet is available for a sumptuous breakfast, lunch and dinner. On sunny days the doors open up completely, joining the restaurant to the vibrant outside terrace. Guests can also recline on the loungers ranged along the sun deck and enjoy the sun. For the fitness-conscious there is a small gym with its own indoor pool, sauna and change rooms. The hotel also provides around the clock security.
